That’s a wrap! Throughout the month of June, we had a fabulous time partnering with all eight municipal libraries in Durham Region to present our seventh year of Drag Queen Storytime.

Pride month may be over, but the learning, the fun, the celebrations and the struggles are far from over. We’re taking a rest, and then jumping back into planning more events.

Thank you to everyone at the Durham Region public libraries for hosting these incredible events, and thank you to all the families who attended, the supporters who show up, and all the staff and volunteers who help make these events amazing!

Our dedication to sharing, learning, celebrating and supporting the community does not end in June. Our commitment continues all year long with events and information sharing. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep updated on events and resources throughout the year.

If you are interested in continuing the disucssion with your children, the following is a list of some of the children’s books that feature stories about diversity, inclusion, respect and love. These are some of the favourites that are shared at our story time events.
