The Heart of Holiday Hope

For more than 50 years, Holiday Hope has brought warmth and connection to children, youth, and families supported through Durham Children’s Aid Society. What began as neighbours “adopting” families grew into a community-wide expression of care.

This year, under the leadership of the Durham Children’s Aid Foundation, Holiday Hope evolved to centre dignity, belonging, and choice. Through the Holiday Hope Shop, caregivers selected gifts and essentials for their children just as any parent would, creating a holiday experience rooted in pride and empowerment.

That evolution was only possible because of you.
