UPDATE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, changes to our After Hour Services are in effect immediately. Thank you for your patience during the transition.
There are some changes coming to our after-hours service delivery. You will still be able reach us 24/7 at our regular number, and hopefully you won’t notice any dramatic changes when you do call.
We are launching a joint pilot project with seven other Children’s Aid Societies to have all of our calls answered by an after-hours team at the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto (CAST).
This change will take place on April 3 at 4:30 pm.
When you call, you will still reach a person who will record all the details of your concerns. The worker will then forward the information to the respective agency for follow up. For situations that require immediate attention, we will still have local after-hours staff and supervisors on call, and available for follow up by phone or in person.
Our after-hours service remains in effect from 4:30 pm to 8:30 am, and on weekends and holidays.
The goal of this initiative is to create consistency, efficiency and to improve services for children, youth and families.
